Deal Fatigue?

I have a whole respect for deal fatigue. During a recent conversation with a fried and prior to this conversation I have used the phase deal fatigue. What does it mean? To me it means no matter what actions I took, the deal took its own course of actions that required specific milestones not know at the beginning of the deal opportunity. It went from an easy to evaluative to a complicated series of events that needed to happen before the deal really had any real value. I doubt that any of us associated with the deal could have known at any given time just how close the deal was to making or breaking. In other words, we just had to keep working our butts off and let the deal come to us. That’s fatigue in its purest since. At least to me for this specific trade….

Blog Commitment

In an effort to be more precise and in measure, I am making an effort to blog more. If for no one else, it’s for me. In stressful trying times it is very easy to fall out of routine, as panicking seems to take a lot more effort than maintaining course.

I find myself focusing more on immediate family than business at the moment. My mother’s passing on Christmas break has been keeping my routine subject to distraction. It’s amazing how quickly when one moves away from a successful routine, just how much off the rails the day-to-day grind becomes. This is defiantly one of those times that self-discipline becomes an absolute must.

As a life lone Entrepreneur working alone and unsupervised, this may be a time whereas being in a group would be a touch better. Mostly because when working in a group and I know there are tons of research for the benefit of working in groups – I do better in a group at times because of the commitment I make to the group.

I recently came across the following and now use it in the tag line of all of my emails:

"Everything comes to those who hustle while they wait." - Thomas Edison

Business Roller coaster

Well here we are in September and the midsummer steady period all the experts predicted – did not happen. Who could really be an expert in a time like this? There has never been an identical set of circumstances like the ones we are in now and in order to be an expert – you need those variables to be – well an expert.
What is starting to work for me is similar to what is working for others. Return to the basics and solve basic problems and then compound from there. It’s similar to when one door closes another opens opportunities. For me, the last decade of my business network is currently worthless in regards to making any money – it is however something I still draw from. Bottom line is it seems everyman for himself right now and we can only fix our own problems. There is no network to pull from.

Mid year turn around?

I gotta be honest here; I never really take too serious what the current president has to say. I made myself sit through his address last night. Does this guy ever stop campaigning? He does know he won and he is actually the President right? How about keeping some campaigns promises and stop the spins. I am sick of being insulted by this group. They are so focused on pointing out a problem and not what the plan is to fix it and stay focused on the plan.
Should they not be spending their time plotting a fix other than worrying about the second term that is 3 years away? In the meantime regardless of the claims, things slip into oblivion daily.

Thats my rant for the day.

Bob Nokley

Business before and after - what a 180 degree turn from two years ago! Is it better, perhaps however while income in significantly lower – interest in my business space has never been higher. So for now its low overhead, paying down debt and live to play another day.
